Saraswati Bhatti is from the Tenkasi district’s Puliyangudi village. When her husband owned a grocery store in 1980, he used to manually grind spices, package them, and sell them. In the beginning, only 5 kg of masala was ground and sold, but it has become five, ten and ten hundred. There was a terrible craving for that masala prepared in grandmother’s hands. Although many years have passed, he has been running the spice business for 40 years without any intention of creating a separate brand for his special spice.
