Veeral arrived in Bombay in 1982 with only Rs 35 in his pocket and lofty aspirations. He began as a roadside restaurant attendant. Although the work did not pay, it did provide three meals a day for him. Veeral afterwards secured employment at a stationery store, where his hard work paid off with a monthly salary of Rs 250. In 1985, Veeral was given the opportunity to co-own a stationery store in Thane when a relative saw how hard he worked. This was the beginning of his business journey!
Gaurav Candies Sees Success
Veeral’s life took a delightful turn in 2004. Named after his kid, Gaurav Sweets was established with an investment of Rs 30 lacs. Success followed shortly after. The store made quick money, and over the course of 15 years, it grew into six locations throughout Mumbai, each of which had 300 kinds of delicious candies.
