- Ragi – 200 grams
- Red rice – 100 grams
- Jaggery – 1 cup
- Coconut – 1 cup
- Cardamom – one
- Banana – some pieces
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 pinch
- First the Ragi and red rice combine both and grind it into semolina.
- Then heat the water gently,sprinfle it in the batter and squeeze it,wet and sqeeze it.wet and squeeze a cloth over the idli plate,cover with the batter and steam it.
- Once cooked,pour it into a plate and mix it with ghee, grated coconut,chopped fruit pieces,salt,jiggery and cardamom powder.The delicious Ragi puttu is ready.
- This can also be made as semolina upma. In the third step the seasoning with mustard and chilly will give a different and healthy ragi semolina upma.
