Lively Recipe, Lemon Rasam

Even those who don’t like rasam will come to this rasam and grab a sip. This rasam is always number one among the types of Rasam suitable for everyone from kids to adults. Pepper, cumin, garlic, etc. which we add to this lemon Rasam will give digestive power. Ingredients

  • Rasam powder(roast and ground Pepper,Jeera,coriander) – 2 tbsp
  • Asafoetida – a Pinch
  • Tomato – 1
  • Green chilli – 1
  • dal – 100 gm
  • Lemon – 2
  • Salt – Oil as required  
  • Curry leaves – 1
  • mustard  – 1 tsp

Preparation Method

  • First, Add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 pinch of asafoetida, chopped tomatoes, green chillies (chopped lengthwise) and two cups of water and let it boil.
  • Add 1 cup of boiled duram dal and cook till all the ingredients turn green.
  • Add rasappodi and heat for two minutes. * Season mustard and curry leaves and add it.
  • Drain it and squeeze 2 limes and mix well. Add the dal boiled water.

Note

  • Do not mix the rasam till it is done cooking.
