Lively Recipe, Butter Beans Mixed Rice

Butter Beans are rich in nutrients needed by the body. It increases the ability of red blood cells in the body . This makes the body more energetic and does not get tired easily. So children and adults eat more Butter beans and their health will be better.

Ingredients

  • Raw rice – 1 cup
  • Onion – 2
  • Garlic – 6 cloves
  • Coriander powder  – 1/2 tsp
  • oil 1.4 cup
  • curry leaves – A pinch of mustard
  • Salt to taste – As required
  • Butter beans (double beans) 2 cups
  • Green Chillies 2
  • Chilli Powder 1 Tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 12 tsp –
  • Chickpeas – 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind paste – 1 tbsp

Preparation Method:

  • Clean the rice and add two and a half cups of water and drain it in a strainer. Boil the butter beans well and mash them lightly.
  • Leave oil in the pan and when it dries well, season it with mustard, chickpeas and curry leaves. Then add chopped onions, green chillies and garlic and saute.
  • Add cumin powder, taniyath powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, masala powder and saute lightly. Then add crushed butter beans and stir, add salt and tamarind paste and saute well.
  • Pour the rice into the sauteed mixture and stir well and leave for a minute or two. Serve with Kuruma, Yoghurt Tart etc.
