Beetroot is an amazing vegetable. It is rich in iron and vitamins and provides various benefits to the body. It is also abundant in salad and juice form. So Now let’s know different kind of chutney using beetroot.

Ingredients

  • Beetroot – quarter kg
  • Chickpeas – 1 Tablespoon
  • Urad Dal – 2 Tablespoon
  • Dry Chillies – 3
  • Cumin – 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander  – Half Tablespoon
  • Tamarind – 1 gooseberry size
  • Grated coconut – half a cup
  • Garlic clove – 2
  • Curry leaves – 1 bunch
  • salt – as required

Preparation Method

  • First, Peel the beetroot well and grate it.
  • Fry the chickpeas, urad dal, dry chillies, onion, cumin, coriander and curry leaves in oil. Then add beetroot and saute well.Once the beetroot is cooked well, turn off the stove and add the coconut.
  • Then add tamarind, garlic and salt and grind it. Best sidedish to eat with, It tastes delicious when eaten with rice and idly,dosa,Chapathi.
