Ranveer Singh’s take on banning Pakistani artists in India.!

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is at the peak of his acting career. His last three movies, Padmaavat, Simmba, and Gully Boy have turned out to be super hits and have collected over Rs.682 crore at the theatres in total. Gully Boy is still earning money in box office and has began director Zoya Akhtar’s first flick to reach Rs.100 crore.

Meantime, the hero has started shooting for his upcoming movie ‘83’, which is being directed by Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Ek Tha Tiger fame Kabir Khan. It is based on the Indian cricket team’s World cup victory in 1983.

In the wake of the terror attacks in Pulwana and the insistence of fans, the film associations have issued a statement that no Pakistani artist, be it singers, actors, musicians, etc will be allowed to act or be a part of any Bollywood movies here on. Ranveer Singh, who recently attended an event expressed his take on the ban on Pakistani artists.

His full statement reads as follows, “I am very conscious that there is this group of thought that one should not combine art and sport with it, they are two different worlds. But at the same time, we as sportsmen and artists, we are not foregoing the same way that some of our fellow countrymen are. Art and sports are separate worlds. The boundaries should be separate. But we are not foregoing the way some of our fellow citizens are. If there’s even one family of a soldier who strongly thinks that we shouldn’t engage, we should respect that,”
