Since she was interested in acting she joined University of Calicut School of Drama and Fine Arts, Thrissur and pursued her PG degree in Theatre artist. Hema Shankar Career:

Hima Shankar has started her career as a theatre artist and she acted in many plays. Her first play was “Sakharam Binder” in 2006. Her plays like Sakharam Bindar, Thazhvarayile Pattu, Oru Katha Naadakam, Paravachaka, Aanungal Ellatha Pennungal, Yamadooth, Soap Cheep Kannadi, Dravida Puthri are notable and they expressed her acting skill. In 2010 she came to move and her first movie was “Sufi Paranja Katha”.  She acted in many short films too. Her first short film was “Zyme” in which she acted as a prostitute.  She is very outspoken and she actively participates in many discussions about social issues in evening newsrooms. We can say that bold and beauty resides in her.

Currently resides in Thiruvanthapuram. From her school days, she started writing some scripts and performed it on stages. She becomes a good actress at the age of 15 itself. She won the prize for her acting skill in that age itself. The thing to be noted here is that she competed with 30 years old actors and won the prize.
