The Central Government Selection Board chooses the qualified applicants for the Indian Forest Department, Indian Revenue Department, Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Civil Service through tests. There are three phases to this exam: preliminary, main, and interview. Those who make it through the primary exam will need to take the main exam. Interview invitations will be sent to qualified applicants.

As a result, September marked the date of the 2022 primary exams. Interviews took place between January and May. Depending on their merit, 933 individuals who show up for the interview will be hired for Group A, B, IFS, IPS, and IAS positions.
Results for every civil service exam in India were now revealed. At the national level, women held the top 4 spots out of the 933 who eventually qualified. There are 14 female and 11 male passers among the top 25. Numerous Tamil Nadu applicants have been successful in this.
Second Place in Tamil Nadu:
Rama Krishnasamy, an assistant engineer at the Namakkal District Industrial Center, placed second in Tamil Nadu in the Union Public Service Commission's (UPSC) civil service test.
Son of Ranganathan and Dhanalakshmi, from Tiruvenkadam village in Tenkasi district, is 28-year-old Ramakrishna Samy. B.E. from Chennai's Anna University in 2016. Mechanical engineering degree completed.
Following that, in 2019, Rama Krishnasamy, an employee of a private company in Chennai, was employed as an assistant engineer at Namakkal District Industrial Center after passing the Tamil Nadu Government Staff Selection Commission's test for engineering department staff.
Officer in the Government to IAS:
Rama Krishnaswamy is employed by the government, but his ultimate goal has always been to join the IAS. He has spent the four years leading up to the civil service exam, from 2019 to 2022, preparing for this.
Even though he failed the first three exams in a row, he persisted and in 2022, on his fourth attempt, he scored a record 117th place in the All India level and a second place finish in the Tamil Nadu level.
Notably, in order to clear the UPSC exam, he used to reside in a separate room close to Namakkal bus stop and study day and night.
