Fathima’s family is basically from Kerala and she was born and bought up in Pondichery. Fathima was a member of the children’s library during her school days. Every week on Thursday she had a half day off in school, during that time she used to go to the library and read the books. She got improved her reading ability right from there. She has come from a Muslim religious oriented family. She has completed her degree in Bharathidasan Govt. College for Women, Puducherry, India.
After completing the degree she had joined as news reader in Doordashan. During that there were only 9 people in the channel who were been News readers. Only after her those famous News readers like Rathna, Nirmala Perisaswamy and Mera Krishnan were joined.
Also, she has started acting in the movies. She has done cameo roles in multiple movies including Minnalae, Pathri, Thiruthani, Manathai Thirudi vittai, Unnidathil Ennai Koduthaen and much more.
She has also acted in so many small screen serials including Yaradi Nee Mohini, Aranmani Kilia which is being aired in Vijay Television. She is also been part of the South Indian Actors Association.
She is also showing an interests towards directing the Television comedy serial which is named as ‘Thaliya Thagarama‘. She is also in searching for right producer and also hunting big and small screen comedy actors.
She has also joined in AIADMK party during when Jayalalitha was Chief Minister. She was also appointed as chief speaker by Jayalaitha.
