Thala Ajith’s latest release ‘Viswasam’ has become the highest grossing movie at the Kollywood box office, giving a share of 75 crores for the distributor. He is currently in the city of Hyderabad, shooting for the flick ‘Thala 59’ at Ramoji Film City. The movie is the Tamil remake of the super hit Hindi film ‘Pink’ that featured Amitabh Bachchan, and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles.
The movie is directed by H. Vinod of ‘Theeran Adhigaram Ondru’ and ‘Sathuranga Vettai’ fame, who is also directing ‘Thala 60’. Both the films are produced by veteran producer Boney Kapoor. The Tamil remake of ‘Pink’ will go on floors by March 2019 and is expected to be released on 1st May 2019. AR Rahman has composed the background score for ‘Thala 59’ and he his joining hands with Ajith after 10 long years. The duo last worked in ‘Varalaru’, which was directed by KS Ravi Kumar.
‘Thala 60’ will start shooting by July 2019 and will be released in April 2020. Also, both the movies are supported by Zee.Now the buzz is that Boney Kapoor has got the remake rights of the blockbuster Egyptian movie ‘Hepta: The Last Lecture’ and is planning to feature Thala Ajith in the lead role for Kollywood version.
The movie talks about the seven levels of love and if everything falls in place, this will be the third venture between Boney Kapoor and Ajith.
