She was born on 26 April 1996 in Chennai, Tamilnadu and Tanya Ravichandran age is 23 as of 2018. Her mother Lavanya Sriram was a classical dancer so both Tanya and her sister are trained Bharatanatyam Dancer. They both were performed a number of stage shows before she enters into the Tamil Cinema industry.
She did her schooling in Chennai and completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women in Chennai and pursued a Masters degree at Madras School of Social Work.

Her first movie was Balle Vellaiyathevaa co-starred with Actor Sasikumar in 2016. Her second movie was Brindavanam co-starred with Arulnithi which was also released in the same year. Karupan (Heroine) was her last movie which was released in 2017 costarred with Vijay Sethupathi.
