Aalaporaan Thamizhan is composed by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman for Vijay’s Mersal. The song is penned by Vivek and is sung by Kailash Kher, Sathya Prakash, Deepak and Pooja AV.
This is the second time Vijay is joining hands with the director after the blockbuster ‘Theri’ (2016).
Vijay seems to plays a triple role in the big budget film – roles of a panchayat head, a doctor and a magician.
In the posters, he’s seen sporting a twirled moustache and this is said to be from the period portions of the film and in another, he is seen doing a card trick with a menacing look on his face.
The film also stars Nithya Menen, SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Studios, Mersal is slated for a Diwali release.
